Dinner and Dialog Coming to Your District
In March we begin our ninth season of member meetings, hitting the road to each of our nine districts to meet informally with small groups of members over dinner. Our goal is to assemble a diverse group of people with whom we can have a meaningful, two-way dialog about the cooperative and the energy landscape. As Midwest Energy Cooperative members and owners, you have a right and responsibility to understand issues that are impacting your cooperative and the energy industry. These meetings allow staff and directors to engage face-to-face with members to help educate you about these issues and equip you with information to help you navigate the volatile energy market and better manage your own energy use and bills.
But the evening is not just about us talking; it’s equally about us listening to and learning from you. We want to know what works and what doesn’t work so that we can ultimately improve your experience. And we’ll pick up the dinner tab, only asking in return that you are an active participant in what we hope is a meaningful and productive two-way conversation.
Members are invited by random selection from our billing system. Invitations will be mailed about three weeks prior to each meeting. If you are one of the lucky members to receive an invitation, we hope you will join us. We limit the number of attendees for each meeting in order to promote an environment for a meaningful and productive dialog, and we do maintain a waiting list of members interested in attending in the event we do not reach our capacity. If you would like to submit your name for consideration for your 2012 district meeting, please email Nicole Barfell or contact us at 800-492-5989 and we will happily include you as space allows.
