LEARN ABOUT HOME SEALING

(Cassopolis, MI) – Midwest Energy Cooperative is hosting a series of community forums to address home sealing and other ways you can improve your home’s efficiency. The evening forums will be March 6 in Cassopolis, March 13 in Paw Paw and March 20 in Adrian.

More than any other time of year, you notice your home’s air leaks in the winter. You may feel these “drafts” around windows and doors and think these leaks are major sources of wasted energy. In most homes, however, the most significant air leaks are hidden in the attic and basement. These are the leaks that significantly raise your energy bill and make your house uncomfortable.

Home sealing is a quick, inexpensive way to a better-performing home. Air infiltration can account for 30% of your home's heating and cooling costs so reducing leaks can significantly cut your annual energy bills and improve your family's comfort. Additionally, benefits of sealing those cracks and gaps are improved indoor air quality, less noise pollution, reduced moisture and humidity and elimination of pest and rodent entry.

Space is limited at these meetings, so call today to reserve your spot. For more information, or to RSVP, please email Anne Martin or call her at 269-445-1139.
