UPDATE: 2000 MIDWEST ENERGY CUSTOMERS WITHOUT POWER

(Cassopolis, MI) – About 2000 Midwest Energy Cooperative customers remain without power at this time as strong wind storms continue to blow through southwest Michigan. Outages are located primarily in the southernmost portions of the cooperative’s southwest Michigan service territory.
All crews are in the field working on restoration efforts. Cooperative officials expect to have the majority of service restored by the end of the day today.
Customers are reminded to stay away from downed power lines, and contact the Midwest Energy Cooperative office at 1-800-492-5989 if a downed power line is spotted.
