POWER RESTORED TO ALL MIDWEST ENERGY COOPERATIVE CUSTOMERS

(Cassopolis, MI) – Power has been restored to all Midwest Energy Cooperative customers. Crews worked through the day Sunday after strong wind storms blew through the region in the morning, leaving at least 10,000 customers in the dark. After a long day of battling the continued high winds, crews restored the last of the outages around Midnight.
With high winds continuing in Monday’s early morning hours, new outages are possible. Cooperative officials encourage anyone who loses power to call 1-800-492-5989. Customers are further reminded to stay away from downed power lines, and contact the office if a downed power line is spotted.
Midwest Energy Cooperative is a member-owned electric utility providing electric and an assortment of energy-related programs and services to more than 37,000 customers in 11 counties in southern Michigan and northern Indiana and Ohio.
