Midwest in the Community
As a locally-owned-and-operated company, Midwest Energy Cooperative is committed to supporting the communities that we serve. Our family of employees volunteers with numerous local agencies and organizations. We participate with various county fairs, community festivals and other events. And we support youth teams, organizations and other community-building projects and efforts with our time and resources. Often our company mascots, Buddy Bolt and Gordy Gas are on hand to meet and greet kids of all ages. If you have an opportunity for involvement from your cooperative, please feel free to contact the Public Relations Office at 1-800-492-5989. While we cannot participate with every request, we try to spread our support and involvement around the service territory. We also love to interact with our family of customers. Every year we host a dinner meeting in each of our districts to chat with a group of customers about what's going on within the industry and in the life of the cooperative. Invitations are sent out randomly by district, although we do have a back-up waiting list for customers who are interested in attending as space allows. If you would like to attend one of our 2010 district meetings, please contact pr@teammidwest.com. We also host Customer Appreciation Events each year in our two service territories. Watch for information in the Country Lines magazine and your Midwest Minute bill insert. You can view photos from our 2009 Customer Appreciation Days at the Zoo by clicking on our online photo album.
