At the August meeting of the Midwest Energy Cooperative Board of Directors, Gerry Bundle of Cassopolis was appointed to fill the District 7 seat left vacant following the death of Colyne Sorsby earlier this year. Sorsby was reelected to a three-year term in April 2016, and Bundle will fulfill that term.
Midwest Energy Cooperative is governed by a nine-member board of directors, each of which is elected by members in their district. District 7 includes co-op members in Calvin, Jefferson, Mason, and Ontwa Townships in Michigan, and Harris and Osolo Townships in Indiana.
Bundle is a Management Consultant Specialist and Senior ERP Product Specialist with CSC’s Global Oracle Practice. He has been a consultant for more than 20 years, working in challenging public and private sector environments encompassing the public transportation, electric power generation, financial services, fluid controls, healthcare, and oil and gas industries. He has an Associate in Applied Science from Southwestern Michigan College, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Goshen College, and a Master of Science in Operations Management from Georgia Institute of Technology.
The Cassopolis Ross Beatty High School graduate reestablished his southwest Michigan roots in 2014 when he returned to his home community with his wife Della. The couple has six daughters and three grandchildren.
“I knew when I returned to Cass County that I wanted to get reengaged in the community that I always considered home,” Bundle says. “Midwest Energy Cooperative is clearly a leader that is implementing innovative and game-changing programs and strategies across the region, and I’m thrilled to offer my professional experience and commitment to this community to further those efforts.”
