We tend to take energy for granted, until it’s not there. However, it’s critical to be mindful of your energy services as there are inherent safety concerns involved with the flow of electric current and gas.
As a regional provider of electricity and propane, we are strongly committed to creating a culture of safety, both for employees and the community. We offer safety programs for schools, churches, civic groups, emergency response teams and other groups and organizations. Programs are free, adaptable for various audiences and timelines, and can be conducted in your facility or ours.
For more information or to schedule an electric or propane safety program, contact the community relations office at 800.492.5989, or email email@example.com.
Stay away from downed power lines and warn others to do the same. Call us immediately to report downed power lines.
Don’t touch a person or object that is in contact with a power line; the electric current could flow through you.
Stay inside your car if it comes in contact with a power line. If the vehicle is on fire, exit by jumping clear of the vehicle with both feet at once, then quickly take short, shuffling steps to escape the danger. Keep both feet on the ground at all times.
