Generators interconnecting in the State of Michigan are broken down into one of five levels based on DER Capacity Rating. The DER Capacity Rating is the aggregate capacity of the site in real power (W) using the nameplate rating in AC. This includes both new and existing systems for locations where additional generation is being installed.
