At their annual event, Market Van Buren (now called Market One) named MEC as its Economic Pioneer for 2024.

We earned the award for our work in fiber internet, the Southwest Michigan Advanced Research & Technology (SMART) Park, and our community support efforts.

Michigan Senator Jonathan Lindsey officially presented the award to MEC on August 12, 2024.
