By the end of this year, we’re ending the option to purchase an electric water heater from MEC. We have just a few left in stock and once they’re gone, we won’t be buying more.
Don’t worry—our Water Heater Load Management Program will stay the same. You can choose to participate with your own electric water heater after letting us install a transfer switch, which will allow us to shut off your water heater during peak usage periods (typically between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.) in exchange for a credit on your bill.
