Each year, electric cooperatives across America select student delegates for NRECA Youth Tour.

This trip to Washington, D.C. gives students a chance to interact hands-on with our nation's capital city and discover the history of American electric cooperatives.

MEC's 2024 Youth Tour students, Norah and Areea, had a great time on their trip. They got to tour several important sites, including:

• The National Archives
• The Capitol Building
• The Smithsonian
• Ford's Theater
• Mount Vernon

They also got to meet Senator Debbie Stabenow and have a Q&A session with staffers from Representative Jack Bergman's office. Norah even got to lay a wreath during a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
