Tornado Recovery Resources

With many community members still dealing with the aftermath of this spring’s tornadoes, local organizations are supporting their recovery.

After The Storm’s disaster relief hotline (313-380-1350) directs community members in Branch, Cass, and St. Joseph counties to recovery resources in their area.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for Michigan and Indiana businesses, private nonprofits, and residents. Applications can be submitted online by June 29 (physical property damage) or Jan. 28, 2027 (economic injury). More information about the SBA’s disaster assistance program is available at https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance.

The REALTORS® Relief Foundation has also set aside $70,000 to help community members cover one month’s rent or mortgage payment. Residents can apply for up to $1,000 per household until June 19.
