MEC Headquarters Honored With Building Award

We recently celebrated with friends from Slatile Roofing & Sheet Metal Co., Inc. after their work on our headquarters project was recognized by the Michiana Builders Association at their 25th Annual Excellence in Construction Awards. The award was presented by Dan Lewis (right), service department manager, to MEC team members (left to right) Roger Bowser, Bob Hance, and Candy Riem.

Slatile won in the “Architectural Sheet Metal – Commercial” category for the work they did on the walls of our Refuel & Refresh space, as well as the roofing work on the entire building. This was the first award for the South Bend-based company, and they were honored to bring our unique vision to life.

During the awards program, Kenneth William Hoy, III from Slatile was also recognized by Sheet Metal Local 20 with an Apprentice Award. The fifth year apprentice was a key member of the project team at MEC.
