2025 Youth Tour Memories

Each year, electric cooperatives across America select student delegates for NRECA Youth Tour.

This trip to Washington, D.C. gives students a chance to interact hands-on with our nation's capital city and discover the history of American electric cooperatives.

MEC's 2025 Youth Tour student Jenna had a great time on her trip. She got to tour several important sites, including:

  • The National Archives
  • The Capitol Building
  • Arlington National Cemetery
  • The Smithsonian
  • Ford's Theater
  • Mount Vernon

Jenna says: "On the trip I learned a lot about our presidents and their pasts. I also learned how to talk to strangers and make new friends. I got really close with several of the other delegates and really hope to see them again soon!"

As always, it was a valuable week of educational fun. Check out Jenna's photos below, and click here to see more.
