MEC Hosting Blood Drive

Published on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in Community

Like so many other events and activities, regular blood drives came to a screeching halt during the Pandemic. The need for blood donations is greater than ever, and we’re once again opening our doors for a COVID-safe blood drive.

Versiti will be on site at MEC's Cassopolis Service Center on Tuesday, April 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All donors and Versiti staff are required to wear a face mask and follow our ongoing COVID safety protocol. Versiti is not offering the COVID antibody testing at this time.

There are 30 slots available for regular whole blood donations and seven slots for 2RBC Double Red Cells donations. The Double Red literally doubles the impact of your donation. In addition to meeting other blood donor qualifications, Double Red donors must meet minimum height and weight requirements. Men must be at least 5’1” and 130 pounds and women must be at least 5’5” and 150 pounds.

This event is open to MEC employees and the general public. If you're ready to roll up your sleeve, please sign up today at http://bit.ly/MIDWESTBLOODDRIVE2021.
