Electric Billing

Standard Billing

If you do not sign up for an alternate billing program, we will bill you according to our standard billing procedure at the end of each monthly billing cycle.

Visit our Rates & Billing page for a more in-depth look at the charges on your electric bill, as well as more information about our rates and how you can sign up for automatic monthly payments.

Variable Billing

This program calculates your monthly payment based on the previous 12-month average and adjusts payments slightly throughout the year. By making slight adjustments, you have a better idea of how much to budget each month for service, as higher use months will be averaged out with lower use months.

New customers with less than 12 months of service history will pay a fixed amount each month with no adjustments until you reach month #13. At that time, you will roll into variable budget billing.

Please note that missed or late payments may result in removal from the budget program.

OWN IT Prepaid Metering

Our OWN IT program lets you pay for your electric service in advance. You add funds to your account, then we deduct funds daily based on current rates and fees, plus a $3 monthly program fee.

Please note that your service will be disconnected if your account balance is depleted. It will be reconnected when a payment is received.

Time of Use

Normally, you pay a fixed rate for electricity, regardless of when you use it. When you join our time of use program, you have the opportunity to pay a lower cost per kilowatt-hour depending on when you use power.

During off-peak times, you pay less than half the standard use rate. The tradeoff is that during periods of peak demand (between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding holidays), you'll be charged more. By making a conscious effort to shift the times during which you use electricity, you can avoid higher rates and get most of your energy for less than what's standard.
